Job Introduction
Food Service Assistant at Magdalen College School, Cowley Place, Oxford, OX4 1DZ. You will assist in the preparation of service and dining areas, food service, cleaning of equipment, utensils and working areas while maintaining correct levels of Health & Safety.
What You'll Do
* Comply with statutory and company requirements.
* Assist with the preparation of food service areas and presentation of food to the notified standard.
* Prepare all food with due care and attention, particularly regarding customers’ dietary requirements (e.g., nut, dairy or wheat allergies).
* Serve food and drink to customers and guests as directed.
* Assist with replenishment of food, beverages and equipment to ensure service periods do not stop.
* Assist with hygienic cleaning of utensils and work areas after service periods.
* Assist with the implementation of cleaning schedules to agreed standards.
* Promote a friendly working relationship with colleagues and a positive company image to customers and guests.
* Assist with the setup, service, clearing and cleaning of function catering as requested.
* Ensure that all pupils and staff with allergen issues are fairly and quickly responded to, referring to Chefs or managers if unsure.
* Undertake occasional duties outside the normal routine but within the scope of the position and department’s activities.
Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months you work. You get paid equal amounts each month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.
