About the role
The post holder will provide clinical support to large clinical trial, being exposed to all aspects of the clinical trial process, from identifying new areas of study (potentially performing reviews/meta-analyses to support trial ideas, working collaboratively with colleagues from the Unit, taking responsibility for executing the trial, managing recruitment sites, coordinating research activities, and supporting the trial until its conclusion.
This job is ideal for Resident Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Reproductive Medicine, Sexual & Reproductive Health with experience of clinical research. The post can be tailored to be suitable for either a senior trainee seeking to gain enhanced experience in clinical trials prior to taking up a substantive consultant post, or for someone earlier in their career who might use this opportunity to develop an application for external funding to pursue a PhD within the unit.
This role is being offered at Speciality Registrar/ST3+.
This is a part time position at 60% FTE, equivalent to hours/3 days per week and is available for a fixed term of 2 years and 5 months.

About you
The post holder must hold a Medical Degree (MD, MC ChB or equivalent).
GMC registration (Non-UK trained applicants must supply at interview evidence of eligibility for full GMC registration).
The successful candidate must have an experience in publishing in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Willingness to write papers collaboratively and present results at conferences if required.
