Job Title: HVAC Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Shift HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team in Warrington.
The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance to both Plant, Equipment, and Building Services.
Role Summary:
1. Identify and manage risks to the client through on-site equipment, including critical spares, improving plant and equipment performance, managing environment conditions via the BMS system, and ensuring efficient operation and preventative maintenance.
2. Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with the client regarding reactive and PPM tasks.
3. Fault find on all types of HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems, including refrigerant handling with F-Gas qualifications.
4. Support team members in Health and Safety matters.
5. Act as Energy Champion and assist as Safety Champion for the site.
6. Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the Maintenance team.
7. Write and follow Risk Assessments, ensuring safety and compliance.
8. Complete documentation as per rules and legislation.
9. Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete work via the CAFM Maintenance System.
10. Plan daily work requirements using email and calendars for efficiency.
11. Liaise with onsite Supervisor and Account Manager to resolve Building Services issues.
12. Serve as responsible person for the team and deputize for the site supervisor during leave or sickness.
13. Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.
14. Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
15. Supervise and manage sub-contractors.
16. Participate in an on-call rota for emergency call-outs outside normal hours.
Experience Required:
* A Recognised or Time Served Apprenticeship
* Strong proven experience in HVAC maintenance
* Mechanical Qualifications to City and Guilds standards
* Good multi-skilled ability
* Fault finding skills
* Ability to supervise contractors
* Ability to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Understanding of permits and safe systems of work
* F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use
Desirable:
* Working at Height Qualification
* IPAF / PASMA
* AP Qualifications
* BMS system experience
* HVAC Controls
