Description The Church is seeking a Grounds Supervisor for the London Temple. This role is essential in ensuring that the sacred grounds surrounding the temple reflect the beauty, reverence, and cleanliness expected of the House of the Lord. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in groundskeeping or horticulture, a passion for maintaining sacred spaces, and the leadership skills to supervise and develop a dedicated grounds team. This role manages 30 acres of temple grounds and facilities. Responsibilities Oversee the care and maintenance of temple grounds, landscaped areas, sidewalks, entrances, driveways, and parking areas. Review and follow landscape plans; select plants suited to local climate and soil. Supervise grounds staff and volunteers: hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Partner with third-party contractors and ensure compliance with local regulations, including proper licensing. Maintain grounds buildings and facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and repair readiness. Develop seasonal plans for planting, pruning, mowing, fertilizing, and pest control. Prepare supply and equipment requests; ensure safe and efficient use and storage of equipment and chemicals. Monitor and manage snow removal, weed control, and debris clearing as needed. Support budget management efforts by working within allocated groundskeeping resources. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in landscape gardening, horticulture, agriculture, or grounds maintenance. 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a similar environment. Degree or professional certification in a relevant field preferred. Experience working on temple grounds is preferred.
