Production Team Leader
Location: Near Stevenage / Hitchin
£40,000 £50,000 per annum (Day Shift)
We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join a growing team specialising in the design and manufacture of custom materials for highly regulated industries. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing and developing a production team across fitting and paint operations within a busy manufacturing environment.
This division is expanding rapidly and places strong emphasis on teamwork, continuous improvement, and long-term career development. You will play a critical role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
Essential Requirements / Experience:
Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
Experience managing and motivating teams (circa 12 people, with further growth planned)
Strong manufacturing background
Ability to lead by example in a hands-on, shop-floor-focused role
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
Aerospace manufacturing experience
Knowledge or exposure to Lean / Continuous Improvement principles
