Our welcoming and diverse school in Brent is seeking a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join us from September 2025. Your Responsibilities as SENCo:
* Lead, coordinate, and develop the SEND provision across the school .
* Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and external specialists to create tailored learning plans for students with additional needs.
* Oversee the assessment, planning, and implementation of EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) .
* Support teachers in differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners .
* Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for SEND inclusion .
* Monitor the progress and well-being of pupils with SEND, ensuring they receive the necessary interventions.
* Liaise with local authorities and outside agencies to secure additional support when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
* SENCo qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
* A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience supporting pupils with SEND in primary education .
* A deep understanding of EHCPs, intervention strategies, and SEND policies .
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
* A passion for inclusive education and creating equal opportunities for all students .
* A proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach to SEND provision .
