Location: St HelensContract Type: Full timeStart Date: ASAPExperience: SEN experience requiredQualifications: Relevant qualification desirable but not essentialDuration:To run up until Easter with review to continue after Easter HolidaysWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with additional learning needs. This is a full-time role working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team to ensure the pupil receives tailored support that promotes progress, confidence and independence.Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with Special Educational Needs
* Assist with delivering personalised learning plans and targeted interventions
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents to monitor progress
* Help with emotional regulation, behaviour support and daily routines as needed
* Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous SEN experience (essential)
* Strong communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach
* Ability to build positive relationships and support pupil engagement
* A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Experience of Behaviour Management
* Full right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
* Available immediately
