About the Role
The Electrical Apprenticeship Tutor will deliver practical and theoretical electrical training, adhering to company and awarding organisation guidelines for apprentices and commercial clients, both in classrooms and through hands-on training. The role involves delivering qualifications such as 5357, 5393, 2382, and possibly others like C&G 2365, 2391, 2377, 2921, as well as BPEC Solar PV and Battery Storage courses. Developing training materials and managing apprenticeship delivery are also key responsibilities.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging lessons and practical training across all electrical installation and domestic subjects.
2. Develop and update lesson plans to meet industry standards.
3. Assess and provide feedback on apprentices’ work.
4. Monitor progress, maintain records, and support apprentices’ development.
5. Conduct progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
6. Ensure training complies with health and safety regulations.
7. Collaborate with employers to tailor training to workplace needs.
8. Assess courses and keep accurate records of attendance and achievement.
9. Review individual performance and complete “at risk” procedures.
10. Implement internal quality assurance processes.
11. Adhere to health & safety, equality & diversity, safeguarding, and Prevent policies.
12. Work effectively within a team and liaise with other departments.
Qualifications
Recent industry experience in electrical installations; Level 3 teaching qualification or equivalent; Level 2 English and Maths; driving license and access to vehicle; ability to deliver specific qualifications like 5357, 5393, 2382.
Desired Skills
Level 3 Assessing, Level 4 Internal Quality Audit, additional electrical qualifications (C&G 2396, 2391, Solar PV, EV, EESS), strong communication, project management, problem-solving, leadership, and full UK driving license.
