Principal Accountabilities and Deliverables
Assay Development Student Technician is accountable for:
1. Supporting development of new products with the Project Leader or Senior development Scientist.
2. Ensure Laboratory is maintained, tidy and equipment is calibrated.
3. Ensure the system is fit for purpose.
4. Ensure compliance with the IDS Quality System.
5. Adhering to all Health and Safety protocols
Assay Development Technician tasks and deliverables:
6. Performing daily assays.
7. Manufacture of R&D buffers and reagents.
8. Conducting accurate laboratory records as required.
9. Compilation of data in preparation for analysis by the Project Leader or Senior development Scientist.
10. Perform laboratory maintenance.
11. Perform routine equipment calibration.
12. Perform daily/weekly/monthly system maintenance as required.
13. Uphold accurate laboratory records in accordance with IDS Quality System. Lab records include data analysis and full experimental details
14. Manage own time on a daily basis
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Qualifications
15. In education studying for a BSc in science (Biochemistry or Biomedicine preferrable)
16. A basic understanding of immunoassay technology.
17. Ability to work to deadlines.
18. Ability to work alone with limited supervision.
19. Ability to work as a team.
20. Ability to operate relevant equipment as required.
21. Ability to work to IDS procedures.
22. Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
23. Good communication skills.
24. No experience required but beneficial to have practical lab experience through current education of Bachelor degree.
