Job Overview
Applications are invited for full-time HCPC Biomedical Scientists in Haematology and Blood Transfusion. There are two positions available: one full-time substantive (cross-site AGH/BRI) and one part-time 18.75 hours fixed-term contract for 2 years (AGH site).
Main duties of the job
The departments are well equipped with advanced analyzers and automated systems, including Sysmex XN 9000, Sysmex XN 3000, ACL TOP 550, Genexpert DX, Alifax Test1 analysers, and Sebia Capillarys3 analyser. The Transfusion departments operate 24/7 with a continuous process pattern shift system, which the successful candidate should be willing to participate in according to service needs.

Qualifications
* Essential: HCPC State Registration
* Essential: BSc Biomedical Science or equivalent
* Desirable: Membership of a professional body such as IBMS
Experience
* Essential: Discipline-specific experience and knowledge
* Essential: Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Essential: Experience with Pathology IT systems
* Essential: Experience with Pathology Quality management systems
* Desirable: Experience working in an NHS Haematology/Blood Transfusion laboratory
