We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our AI & Automation team, part of the Nottingham-based Risk Intelligence Product Engineering organisation.
Reporting to the Senior Delivery Manager, this role plays a critical part in planning, coordinating, and delivering complex technology projects across multiple teams and workstreams. You will be accountable for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned to strategic business and technology objectives.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and operational stakeholders to drive delivery outcomes, manage dependencies and risks, and maintain effective governance throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Take end‑to‑end ownership of the planning and delivery of complex projects across multiple teams and workstreams.
* Define and maintain project plans, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements in line with agreed objectives.
* Manage project governance, including RAID logs, status reporting, change control, and delivery assurance.
* Identify, manage, and mitigate interdependencies, risks, and issues, escalating where appropriate with clear recommendations.
* Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on progress, risks, and delivery outcomes.
* Coordinate activity across engineering, product, and operational teams to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
* Track and report on delivery performance using agreed metrics and reporting frameworks.
* Drive continuous improvement in project delivery practices, tooling, and ways of working.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex technology or software projects in a matrixed organisation.
* Experience working within large‑scale engineering or product‑led organisations.
* Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, governance, and controls (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
* Demonstrated experience managing cross‑functional teams, dependencies, and resources across multiple workstreams.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
* Confidence operating in environments with ambiguity, changing priorities, and evolving requirements.
* Experience in financial services, risk, or regulated environments is advantageous but not essential.
* Optional / Nice to have: Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM).
