We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Finance Manager to support the smooth financial running of a boutique public practice accountancy firm. This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of day-to-day finance operations.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting client billing processes, and ensuring effective credit control across the business. The role also offers involvement in a range of ad hoc finance-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Full responsibility for bookkeeping for the practice using Xero
* Managing and maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
* Raising and processing client invoices in a timely and accurate manner
* Managing credit control, including monitoring aged debt and following up on outstanding payments
* Supporting month-end financial processes and reporting as required
* Assisting with ad hoc financial and administrative projects
* Working with internal systems and contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes
Requirements
* Previous experience in bookkeeping or finance management, ideally within a professional services or accountancy environment
* Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential
* Familiarity with CCH accounting software would be highly advantageous
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
* Confident communicator with a proactive and professional approach
