Nigel Wright Group is proud to be exclusively retained by a well-established B2B service organisation in the search for a Head of Sales Operations. Our client is a market leader in post-contract service management solutions, supporting their clients in navigating and renewing complex service agreements with major global suppliers.

As a key member of the UK Senior Management Team, the Head of Sales Operations will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of operational performance. This high-impact leadership position is focused on streamlining processes, enhancing execution, and leading automation initiatives to support scalable growth.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the sales data lifecycle, delivering measurable improvements across systems and workflows. This role also presents an exciting opportunity to lead a major automation programme in close collaboration with a highly capable in-house IT team.

Role Profile:

* Own and optimise the full sales operations function, including profitability from partnerships, CRM usage, and end-to-end sales process management.
* Lead the development and execution of an operations strategy focused on automation, process simplification, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee the entire sales data lifecycle, from lead acquisition and validation to CRM integration and performance tracking.
* Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure operational efficiency, accountability, and continuous performance improvement.
* Maximise value from supplier and partner relationships, ensuring both commercial profitability and service excellence.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Sales, and Finance to align operations with business goals and influence system improvements.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, while enforcing best-in-class operational policies and practices.
* Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, driving operational transformation and contributing to long-term business success.

Person Specification:

* Proven leadership in business transformation, with hands-on experience improving systems, processes, and operational performance across varied sales cycles.
* Strong background in Operations or Sales Operations Management, ideally within B2B environments such as IT distribution, telecoms, financial services, or contact centres.
* Demonstrated ability to design, map, and optimise processes, including automation of end-to-end sales workflows—experience with AI-driven solutions is a plus.
* Track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams, with a proactive, hands-on leadership style.
* Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive informed decision-making.
* Experienced in project and change management, with a history of delivering cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, growth-focused organisations.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and align operations with broader business goals.
* Commercially aware and operationally versatile, with experience owning full processes and contributing to long-term business strategy.

Other information:

* Hybrid role with a minimum 3 days a week in Leeds city centre office
