Warehouse & Distribution Manager
Robertson Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse & Distribution Manager to join our client based in Castle Donnington. This company specializes in distributing high-quality cleaning supplies and equipment across the UK and has been in operation for over 20 years. This is an exciting opportunity as they plan to expand to larger premises in the upcoming year.
As a Warehouse & Distribution Manager, your primary focus will be on overseeing the warehouse and distribution operations. The role is highly hands-on, with approximately 90% of your working day spent on the shop floor managing staff. You will oversee up to 8 team members, including one supervisor, with roles ranging from dispatch operatives to delivery drivers.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 06:30 am – 4:30 pm
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Oversee logistics related to receiving, warehousing, and dispatch operations
2. Enforce health, safety, and security procedures
3. Manage staff, build teams, train employees, and monitor performance
4. Manage operational budget and take ownership of financial aspects
5. Conduct return-to-work interviews and disciplinary procedures when necessary
6. Create efficiencies by implementing new technology and adapting to warehouse process improvements
7. Manage a fleet of 6 vehicles, including repairs and maintenance
8. Drive operational efficiency through setting and tracking KPIs
