Job Title: Art / Design & Technology Technician (Full-Time)
Location: Various Secondary Schools across Croydon
Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Are you a creative, organised, and hands-on individual with a passion for supporting students in their artistic and design journeys? We are seeking an Art / DT Technician to join inclusive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Croydon.
As an Art / DT Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting both staff and students within the Art and Design Technology departments. You will assist in preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, inspiring environment for creative learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and organise resources, tools, and materials for practical lessons in Art and Design Technology.
2. Support teachers in the setup and delivery of creative projects, ensuring lessons run smoothly.
3. Maintain and repair tools, machinery, and equipment, adhering to all health and safety procedures.
4. Manage stock levels, order supplies, and keep classrooms and workshops well-organised.
5. Provide technical guidance to students, encouraging creativity and safe working practices.

7. Experience working in an educational or workshop setting (preferred but not essential).
8. Knowledge of art, design, or technology materials, tools, and processes.
9. Strong organisational and communication skills.
