Overview
The ideal candidate will have at least 2–3 years' + experience working in a Mechanical Design or Product Design role designing bespoke products and parts using various manufacturing methods including: sheet metal, machined components, injection moulded plastic or die cast parts and components or similar.
Responsibilities
* Design from concept for manufacture bespoke components and enclosed products using a variety of manufacturing methods.
* Undertake testing, product development and analysis/ simulations to validate feasibility and performance.
* Understanding of Tolerances ideal
* Work cross functionally with manufacturing, procurement and quality departments to ensure smooth project delivery
Qualifications
* Proficient in 3D CAD with Solidworks being preferred. Would consider Inventor or Creo
* Adaptable, proactive and team player who is able to use their initiative.
