Michelin started restaurant The Peat Inn, just outside the beautiful town of St Andrew’s, Scotland, is adding a new and exciting role within the settled and mature team.
Previous Michelin starred kitchen experience is not essential, but prior high-level a la carte experience is a must.
You may be at the junior sous chef level now or a chef de partie seeking your first step to a sous chef position.
We are looking for someone who is:
1. Trained and capable of working across the kitchen to a high standard
2. Possesses an ingrained belief in achieving excellence and consistency
3. Maintains a calm and professional manner, able to absorb pressure while maintaining focus
4. Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
5. Is a team player who actively fosters and contributes to a positive atmosphere across the entire workplace
6. Capable of supporting the chef patron and deputising when required
Working hours are open dinner service only Tuesday to Thursday, with lunch and dinner service on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, as well as three days at Christmas and one week from 1st January.
