KPI Recruiting are currently looking for an experienced Groundworker to join our client's Light Civils and Groundworks team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and skilled individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 07:45 – 17:30
Pay Rate: From £15.50 per hour
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a solid background in groundworks and civil engineering tasks. The ideal candidate will also be confident operating excavators under 10 tonnes.
Responsibilities include:
* Laying concrete and bitumen surfaces to a high standard
* Installing underground drainage systems
* Completing dropped kerb installations to specification
* Carrying out general ground excavation tasks
* Performing light landscaping duties where required
Key Requirements:
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices on construction sites
* A full UK driving licence with access to own transport
* A valid CSCS card
Desirable Certifications:
* NRSWA (Street Works) certification
* Excavator ticket
* Trailer licence
Experience Required:
* Minimum 4 years' experience in groundworks
* At least 3 years operating excavators (under 10 tonnes)
* Proven 4 years of light civils experience
PPE Requirements:
* Safety boots are required
* All other PPE will be provided on-site
