An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, highly motivated, and reliable individual to join our team of Resuscitation Practitioners. The post will be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital but will regularly work across both sites. Prior clinical experience in an acute area is essential. Previous knowledge and experience of delivering training is preferred but training will be provided.
NMC/HCPC registration is required.
Main duties
The post holder will assist the Resuscitation Manager and Lead Resuscitation Practitioner with the organisation and training of basic and advanced life support for all staff groups within the Trust, including undergraduate medical students and qualified staff from medicine, nursing, and allied health professions.
The post holder will routinely attend cardiac arrests to provide clinical input and advice during the arrest and to give feedback afterwards.

Experience
* Evidence of recent post-qualification education
* Post- registration experience in an acute medical environment, including management/leadership
* Clinical experience in patient resuscitation within an acute hospital setting
* Degree in a health-related subject
* Recognised clinical teaching qualification
* ALS provider certificate
* ILS instructor certificate
Qualifications
* Registered Health Care Practitioner (e.g. Registered Nurse, Midwife, ODP)

Visa and immigration
If you are currently in the UK on a visa, you must have at least six months remaining on your visa at the time of your start date to ensure sufficient time for the operational and training process associated with the role. This requirement does not apply to a Skilled Worker Visa; a new Skilled Worker Visa would be required for a new role.
In line with the change of immigration rules on 8th January 2026, if you require sponsorship through the Skilled Worker Visa you must be able to provide B2 English evidence before a Certificate of Sponsorship can be issued.
Skilled Worker visas cannot currently be issued to Afghan nationals.
Study visas cannot currently be issued to nationals of Afghanistan, Cameroon, Myanmar or Sudan. As a result, we are unable to progress applications requiring sponsorship under these routes.

Applicants must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Foreign-degree holders must provide an official government translation via ECCTIS. This is in addition to any professional registration requirements and is not a replacement for the original qualifications.
