Location: HMP Lindholme, Bawtry Rd, Hatfield Woodhouse, Hatfield, Doncaster DN7 6EE.
Salary: £29,009 - £35,015.
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 07:30–16:30, Friday 07:30–15:30. Weekend rota with 1 in 3 weekends; additional allowance of 15% of basic salary.
Responsibilities
* Planned and preventative electrical maintenance, including administrative duties aligned to the tasks.
* Actively fault finding / problem solving on electrical systems across the prison.
* Carry out like‑for‑like replacements and other electrical minor works with the relevant electrical inspections and tests carried out and results recorded in accordance with BS7671.
* Ensure that all electrical systems are safe, compliant, and functioning effectively to create a secure and well‑maintained environment for staff and residents.
* Assist the Responsible person and Authorised person when requested.
* Ensure that Health & Safety standards, Risk Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work are consistently implemented and followed across all appropriate work streams.
* Assist escorting duties and other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation works or equivalent.
* BS7671 18th Edition, or consideration of 17th Edition with upskilling to 18th Edition.
* Good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance operations.
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
* Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Ability to work at heights, independently and use initiative.
* Understanding of fire alarm and CCTV systems (desirable).
* Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
* Basic IT skills.
Security Clearance
Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
