If you're confident in quality containment, skilled in problem resolution, and know how to document solutions that others can follow, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.The opportunity:In this fast-paced production environment, youll work closely with the Lead Quality Technician to support and resolve quality concerns on the shopfloor. Youll carry out Level Zero investigations, identify issues at source, implement containment actions, and support corrective solutions to keep production running smoothly.Working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, youll also create detailed Work Instructions and Test Plans, conduct FMEA risk assessments, and help implement improvements that prevent recurring quality issues.Working hours:Monday - Thursday - 07:00am - 16:00pmFriday - 07:00am - 12:00pmResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Support the Lead Quality Technician in managing customer quality concerns and containment activities across manufacturing operationsRespond to quality concerns quickly and effectively, including supporting Level Zero investigations and determining immediate containment actionsAttend production and warehouse areas to assess issues, identify root causes, and support resolution activitiesCreate and maintain clear Work Instructions and Test to support inspection and quality activitiesLiaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure quality concerns are communicated and resolved efficientlyUse internal systems and SAP to accurately record, track, and manage quality activities and project informationSupport containment, sorting, and corrective action activities to minimise disruption to productionCarry out risk assessments, takt time reviews, and support continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational performanceInterpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to support quality inspections and issue resolutionEnsure all activities are completed in line with customer requirements, quality standards, and operational proceduresPromote clear communication across teams and provide updates to supervisors, customers, and support functions where requiredThe ideal Quality Technician will have the following experience:Previous experience as a Quality Technician/ Engineer, Senior Quality Inspector or similarStrong background in quality containment and problem resolution in manufacturingSkilled in writing clear, accurate Work Instructions and method statementsKnowledge of FMEA and process risk assessmentsAble to read and interpret engineering drawings; basic measuring skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and ideally familiar with ERP/SAP systemsA reliable team player with great attention to detail and flexibility.This is a permanent position with progression opportunities available.If this role sounds like it could be of interest, then please apply today for a confidential chat.G&P is a world-leading quality management services provider, supporting manufacturers in the automotive, defence, aerospace and industrial sectors, and their associated supply chains, to transform quality and efficiency levels.With over 30 years of experience, we provide tailored solutions through senior management support and expert personnel from our dedicated talent division.
