Experienced Payroll Clerk for expanding team in Dereham NR19 Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a business in Dereham who are looking for an experienced payroll clerk to join an established payroll team and take responsibility of your own allocated payrolls across the group. Your new role In this newly created Payroll Clerks job, you will join the team and take responsibility of dealing with new starters and checking the data on their in-house payroll system, reviewing uploaded hours for their weekly and monthly payrolls, processing HMRC statutory deductions, making any SMP, SSP payments, raising any adjustment payments and as a team dealing with payroll queries. As an experienced payroll clerk, you will work closely with your relevant department manager, advising them on any payroll queries ranging from starters, leavers, payroll cost clawbacks, late payments and general payroll costings for their department. The role also involves working closely with the wider HR teams in producing offer packs, variations of employment packs, updating centralised HR records and pension administration. What you'll need to succeed As explained, this is a new full-time payroll job, and we expect you to have proven payroll experience as you will take responsibility for your specific daily tasks and/or manage your own part of the payroll. We expect you to be aware of the latest HMRC payroll regulations and guidelines, as well as be able to deal with payroll queries from their employees and relevant line managers. Systems wise, any experience of Moorepay will be beneficial but is not essential provided you can demonstrate experience of managing, ideally a high-volume and complex payroll. What you'll get in return The organisation offers flexible working based on-site with a salary of circa £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.
