THE ROLE
My client is a charity with multiple properties. They are seeking an ASSET SURVEYOR who may be a Building Surveyor or similar to join them in London.
You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the cyclical school estate surveying programme, including conducting condition surveys and reports, ensuring compliance with H&S, capturing accurate asset and compliance data, assessing estate condition and cost forecasts, and supporting long-term estate management decisions.
Responsibilities include preparing Annual Condition Reports, making grant funding recommendations, managing projects and contracts for repairs and improvements to schools, conducting investigative building surveys, and determining works for various property issues.
You will also quality assure surveys by contractors and consultants, provide technical advice on building defects, and support estate management strategies, including transition to Net Zero Carbon and prioritization of rebuilding programmes.

The client is a charity owning multiple buildings, including 180 schools and investment properties.
THE CANDIDATE
You should have an HNC, BSc, MSc, or similar qualification in Building Surveying or related field. Experience required includes property surveys for disrepair, designing and delivering cyclical and responsive surveys, volume stock condition surveys, analyzing asset data for investment planning, and conducting defect investigations.
Knowledge of health and safety obligations is necessary. Experience working on schools or colleges is desirable but not essential. Excellent client-facing skills, a stable work record, and proficiency in English are required.
The salary range is £55,158 to £59,220 per annum, with benefits including a pension, 33 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Job Requirements:
HNC / BSc / MSc or similar in Building Surveying or related field. UK experience in Asset Surveying and estate management. Previous employment with a known UK firm, either surveyors or end-user client, is required.
