Aerotron Composites (ACL) is a privately owned company, one of a number of successful aviation companies in the Aerotron group. At our site in Chatteris we manufacture composite aircraft components for a number of major aerospace manufacturers. We are currently expanding our manufacturing capacity and in 2025 will launch a new repair capability for airlines within a new build extension of our current facilities.
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to manage our Purchasing and Stores Teams. The Purchasing Team is responsible for management of suppliers and timely responses to MRP demands, ensuring purchase orders are raised on time, in budget, meeting quality requirements.The Stores team is responsible for management of the store, from goods-in, kitting out to production and end delivery to customers.Work across both teams in compliance with defined procedures, regulatory and customer approvals.

Job Purpose:
Overall objective:materials available to start production on time.
Responsible for managing demands in line with the MRP system; management of suppliers, in line with standard procedures to ensure materials are delivered on time to the Product Group teams.
* Advocate for the direction of ACL, deliver consistent communication at all levels
* To manage team members to ensure they are performing their main duties to meet/exceed the monthly team target, through overall work allocation, regular monitoring, and review, and checking quality
* To recruit, manage, appraise, develops/trains the team members
Key Responsibilities
* Management and Approval of the Approved Supplier List
* Directly responsible for Supplier Relationship Management of Key Suppliers and overseeing the performance and management of all other suppliers.
* Timely responses to demands (MRP & manual requisitions) and coordinating the best value quotes from suppliers
* Management of Subcontracted Services
* Evaluate vendor performance against service fulfilment and quality compliance measures
* Ensure audit compliance for all processes and procedures; Process Owner for Purchasing Procedures and KPI’s
* Manage staff to ensure competence and capacity
* Management of stock code data to feed MRP system (EBQ, lead time, preferred supplier, supplier stock codes)
·Ensure all purchases and suppliers are in accordance with procedures
* Support relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Product Groups and Support Functions
·Understand, develop, and react to trend analysis reports to highlight and prevent fallings across department
* Anticipate possible risks within department(s) and take appropriate action
·Identify opportunities within own area and wider business for continuously improving the way things are done and implements change
·Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices
·Fully comply with company policies including Health and Safety at all times

Personal Attributes
·Analytical and experience using an ERP or MRP system
