Area Sales Manager – South UK
An established global manufacturer of electronic components is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive growth across the South UK region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused sales professional with experience in the electronics industry to develop strategic customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and grow market share within a defined territory.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
* Deliver technical product presentations and support customers with product selection and application discussions.
* Manage and grow a sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
* Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure excellent customer support and satisfaction.
* Develop territory plans and execute strategic sales initiatives.
* Provide regular sales forecasts, market intelligence, and activity reporting through CRM systems.
* Collaborate with channel partners and distribution networks to maximise market coverage.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development within the electronics industry.
* Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Technical understanding of electronic components and related technologies.
* Experience working with OEMs, EMS providers, distributors, or design engineering teams would be advantageous.
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
* Strong commercial awareness with a track record of achieving sales objectives.
* Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the South UK region.
Qualifications
* Ideally but not essential is a Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
* Previous experience in Semiconductors,/passive compenent sales or electronic component distribution/manufacturing is essential.
