NPD & Technical Manager FMCG An expanding FMCG business is opening a new manufacturing site in County Armagh and is seeking an ambitious NPD & Technical Manager to join at a key stage of its growth journey. You will lead product development projects from initial concept through to launch, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. External specialists will support trials and testing, allowing you to focus on project leadership, system ownership, and cross-functional coordination. Key Responsibilities NPD Lead end-to-end product development from concept to launch Collaborate with customers and commercial teams on new product opportunities Develop recipes and coordinate factory trials Manage project timelines, costing, and supplier sourcing Identify innovation and market trends Technical & Quality Own HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP systems Maintain BRC/SALSA standards and ensure audit readiness Manage audits, complaints, and non-conformances Oversee allergens, traceability, and product recalls Ensure full compliance with UK labelling and food regulations Supplier & Customer Management Manage supplier approval and ongoing performance Act as the key technical contact for customers Support audits, tenders, and product specifications Collaboration Support operations and commercial teams Deliver food safety and GMP training Liaise with regulators and external stakeholders About You 23 years experience in a food technical or NPD role Experience working within a BRC or similar standards environment Strong understanding of HACCP and UK food labelling regulations Proven experience in product development and auditing Confident communicator with a practical, hands-on approach Commercially aware with strong attention to detail Passion for food innovation Contact: Nicky Strutt
