Band 4 Pre‑registration Pharmacy Technician (Annex 21) B4 following completion of training, minimum of 2 years post qualification.

Mental Health Occupational Therapist
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Team across the Scottish Borders. This post provides the opportunity for a Band 4 Occupational Therapist to develop within a supportive service into a Band 4 role.
Apprentice Pharmacy Technician Programme
We’re looking to recruit a motivated and committed trainee pharmacy technician to undertake a 2‑year Technical Apprenticeship programme during which you will work towards the Diploma in Pharmacy Services. This includes completing the PDA in Pharmacy Services (SCQF 7) and SVQ in Pharmacy Services (SCQF 8) while developing your knowledge and skills within our pharmacy team. The post will be mainly based in Primary Care within the Pharmacotherapy Hub at The Old School Building, Scottish Borders Council HQ, remoting into GP Practices, focusing on supporting safe, effective, and efficient medicines management in primary care. Some elements of the course are required to be completed in either a community or hospital pharmacy dispensary.
On completion of the programme, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician and progress into a range of opportunities within the profession.
Remuneration for Trainees Covered By Annex 21
* Up to 12 months prior to completion of training: 75% of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.
* More than one but less than two years prior to completion of training: 70% of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate.
* More than two but less than three years prior to completion of training: 65% of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate.
* More than three years from completion of training: 60% of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.
Eligibility and Application Criteria
To apply for this post applicants must meet the following criteria:
* National 5 qualifications at Grade A to C (or equivalent SCQF Level) in Chemistry, Biology.
Additional Information
As from 1st April 2026 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
