GSL Education are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join schools across Sheffield. As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with class teachers, provide 1:1 or small group support, and contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities: Support pupils with SEN in line with their individual education plans. Work 1:1 or with small groups to deliver targeted learning interventions. Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all pupils. Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour. Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Requirements: Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting is desirable. CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualifications are preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to individual learning needs. A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
