Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Northumberland Salary: £14 per hour Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Morpeth. This full-time role is ideal for someone who has a strong background working with neurodiverse children across EYFS, KS1, KS2 or KS3. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop social and emotional skills, and thrive in a nurturing learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to neurodiverse pupils in small groups or 1:1 settings. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.Requirements: Previous experience working with neurodiverse children in an educational setting. Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
