Were looking for a hands-on Process Engineer Press Operations to support safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role ensures compliance with DMUK and EU standards while driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating and Setting Up Presses: loading raw materials, setting up tools and dies, and adjusting machine settings to achieve desired results.
* Checking Product Quality: inspecting finished products for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
* Troubleshooting and Maintenance: responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and performing basic maintenance on the machinery.
* Following Production Plans: adhering to production schedules and instructions to meet targets.
* Documentation: maintaining performance logbooks and documenting any issues or changes.
* Safety: adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear.
* Working with Others: liaising with team leaders, engineers, and other operators to ensure smooth operations.
Skills & Experience
* Technical Knowledge: Understanding of press machinery, tooling, and materials.
* Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
* Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to machine operation or product quality.
* Attention to Detail: Ensuring that products meet quality standards.
* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
* Basic Math Skills: For calculations related to production and material usage.
* Press Regulations trained
* Experience in press setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of quality systems, process controls, and lean tools.
* Strong problem-solving, mechanical, and communication skills.
* Trained in press safety and regulations.
