OU Endowment Management Ltd. is a commercial subsidiary of the University of Oxford. We manage approximately £6.5bn in assets for over 40 different institutional investors, including the University, many of its colleges and trusts, and several UK charities. Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join OUem’s investment team as a paid summer intern in 2026, gaining the foundational skills required for a career in investment management. The role is suitable for intellectually curious, driven candidates who wish to develop a solid grounding in investment analysis and portfolio management within a small, high-quality team working in Oxford. As a summer intern, you will gain an extensive overview of endowment investment management, including how a long-term, multi-asset portfolio is constructed and managed. You will gain meaningful insight into strategies that we allocate to across asset classes, including public equity, private equity, credit, and property. You will be challenged and given a high level of individual responsibility from day one. On a day-to-day basis, you will assist the investment team in the evaluation of existing strategies and in the due diligence of new investment opportunities. You will contribute to research projects on emerging themes and investment ideas. In the process, you will gain unique exposure to leading investment managers across the world and across asset classes. Internship Dates The internship begins on 6 July 2026 and ends on 28 August 2026. Key Responsibilities On a day-to-day basis, you will assist the investment team in the evaluation of existing strategies and in the due diligence of new investment opportunities. You will contribute to research projects on emerging themes and investment ideas. In the process, you will gain unique exposure to leading investment managers across the world and across asset classes. Typical activities will include: - Qualitative and quantitative research into a theme, sector or geography - Analysing the existing portfolio - Sourcing and presenting macroeconomic information to the wider team - Providing general support to the investment team Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Penultimate year student at a UK university pursuing any undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme. Prior experience in investing is not required.
