The Job Mission
As a Quality Engineer specialising in Counterfeit, Fraudulent, and Suspect Items (CFSI), you’ll help safeguard the integrity of the UK’s nuclear supply chain. You’ll support both internal teams and suppliers to identify, prevent, and resolve CFSI risks across all project stages.
Your missions will include:
* ⚡️ Leading and coordinating CFSI management activities across project lifecycles.
* ⚡️ Embedding anti-CFSI requirements within supplier contracts and project documentation.
* ⚡️ Delivering awareness sessions and training on CFSI prevention.
* ⚡️ Supporting suppliers to implement robust mitigation and traceability controls.
* ⚡️ Conducting supplier audits, inspections, and reviewing key quality documentation.
* ⚡️ Managing or supporting CFSI investigations using Root Cause Analysis techniques.
* ⚡️ Coordinating incident alerts and ensuring lessons learned are captured.
* ⚡️ Driving continuous improvement in quality assurance and non-conformance management.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
* Strong understanding of Quality Management principles in complex, project-led environments.
* Proven experience in QA/QC within manufacturing or infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of CFSI risks in regulated global supply chains.
* Experience applying Root Cause Analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
* Confident reviewing technical quality documents and inspection records.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across all levels.
* Advanced MS Office and SharePoint capability.
* Fluent written and spoken English.
Must be willing to travel frequently UK wide and internationally.
Desired Skills:
* ✔️ Experience within the nuclear or other safety-critical sectors.
* ✔️ Familiarity with ONR Licence Conditions LC6, LC17, TAG 077.
* ✔️ Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19443, EN10204, or similar standards.
* ✔️ Awareness of welding, NDT, or other special processes.
* ✔️ French or other European language proficiency.
