We are partnered with a leading beauty brand based in Dubai to help them hire a senior packaging development manager. Drive packaging strategy, innovation, and execution to deliver high‑quality, sustainable, and cost‑effective solutions. Lead a team of engineers and collaborate across functions to align packaging with product, regulatory, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Define and implement packaging development strategies in line with business objectives.
* Leverage industry best practices and emerging technologies to stay ahead of trends.
Team Management
* Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of packaging engineers.
* Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture and adapt priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Project & Innovation
* Oversee multiple projects from concept to launch, ensuring on‑time delivery.
* Champion sustainable and creative packaging solutions that enhance brand appeal.
Technical Expertise & Compliance
* Apply deep knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, CAD design, and prototyping.
* Ensure adherence to industry regulations, environmental standards, and risk‑management protocols.
Quality & Cost Control
* Partner with QA/QC and suppliers to enforce rigorous quality checks.
* Collaborate with Purchasing to optimize budgets and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Communication
* Work with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations to integrate packaging seamlessly.
* Translate technical insights into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
Metrics & Continuous Improvement
* Track KPIs (cost, quality, time‑to‑market) and conduct value analyses.
* Drive process enhancements to reduce waste and improve performance.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
* 5+ years in packaging development, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, or similar
* Proven leadership and project‑management experience
* Expertise in CAD (SolidWorks, KeyShot), prototyping, and 3D printing
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
* Familiarity with regulatory standards and sustainable materials
