We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant and inclusive school supporting students with special educational needs, including cognition and learning difficulties and autism. This is a full-time position until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supervising classes, supporting learning, and maintaining continuity of education during teacher absences. You will help students to develop essential skills and support their progress in line with their individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring a safe, productive, and positive learning environment Support lesson delivery and assist students with understanding tasks where appropriate Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and develop confidence Help students develop independence, life skills, and positive behaviour Assist teachers with administrative and classroom support tasks Contribute to the overall ethos of the school, promoting inclusion and high expectations We are looking for candidates who: Have experience as a Cover Supervisor, teaching assistant, or UK classroom experience, preferably in SEN or secondary settings Can work independently and as part of a team Understand the needs of students with additional educational needs Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Are enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to making a positive difference This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, forward-thinking school and have a direct impact on the learning and development of young people with additional needs.
