Balfour Beatty Highways is seeking a Section Engineer to join our team on the A66 scheme. As part of our Highways business, you'll play a key role in maintaining, managing, and operating major highway networks across the UK. As part of our Highways business, you'll play a key role in maintaining, managing, and operating major highway networks across the UK. What you'll be doing
* Carry out complex setting out.
* Coaches subordinates in the use of setting out techniques.
* Produces Activity Control Plans.
* Actively uses the Specification as a reference document.
* Maintains a comprehensive filing system of quality records.
* Identifies, raises and actions Non Conformance Reports.
* Identifies and raises Technical Queries with possible solutions.
* Produces Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
* Prepares and raises Temporary Works Briefs.
* Carries out ‘short term’, Visitors Induction.
* Completes Accident Book and associated reports as required.
* Produces a weekly programme and measures progress against KPI’s.
Who we're looking for
* Able to carry out complex setting out and can use the information provided in the 13 week Stage Programme.
* Understands and has experience of producing ACP.
* Understanding of construction tolerances.
* Awareness of Specification and other Contract documents.
* Understands specific terms, conditions and outputs of relevant subcontractors and suppliers.
