Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Clinical Team Leader (Dietetics) to lead adult dietetic services at North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH). This is a senior clinical leadership role within MFT's Divisional Adult Dietetic Service incorporating Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary and Trafford General Hospital. You will provide oversight, direction and assurance across key acute and specialist pathways. The post holder will lead a skilled and diverse team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based dietetic care across Critical Care, Gastroenterology, Head & Neck services and Diabetes outpatient services. You will be a visible and credible clinical leader, working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, Divisional AHP leadership and site-based teams to ensure safe, effective and responsive services aligned to Trust priorities. Main duties of the job As Clinical Team Leader, you will have overall responsibility for the clinical leadership, operational management and professional support of the adult dietetic team at NMGH. The team consists of: 2.8 WTE Band 7 Dietitians 3.0 WTE Band 6 Dietitians 2.0 WTE Band 5 Dietitians 1.0 WTE Band 3 Dietetic Assistant Key responsibilities include: Providing senior clinical leadership and oversight across specialist and acute services, including Critical Care, Gastroenterology, Head & Neck and Diabetes outpatients Ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality dietetic care in line with national guidance, Trust policy and professional standards Managing service capacity, prioritisation and risk, including escalation through appropriate governance structures Leading on quality improvement, incident review, audit and learning within the service Supporting staff wellbeing, development, supervision and appraisal, creating a positive and inclusive team culture Contributing to workforce planning, recruitment and retention initiatives at site and divisional level Working in partnership with the Divisional Lead and other Clinical Team Leaders to support a consistent, Trust-wide approach to adult dietetic services Providing expert dietetic input into MDT meetings, service development discussions and pathway redesign About us Join Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and become part of a 30,000 plus strong team, delivering exceptional care to over 1 million people every year.
