You will be a passionate and empathetic individual with excellent interpersonal skills, serving as the key contact for a caseload of high-needs students.
You will have experience working closely with students with specific learning difficulties and disabilities facing barriers to learning.
You will liaise with Curriculum Heads of Department and Learner Support Assistants to ensure support needs are shared and understood by all staff. You will advise teaching staff on reasonable adjustments to support inclusive teaching and learning.
Your role will include assisting teaching staff with teaching, learning, and assessment of individual and small groups of students with additional support needs.
You will identify strategies to promote independence and ensure accurate recording of progress information.
Your contribution will directly impact positive student outcomes, improved success rates, increased employability, and appropriate progression, with a focus on preparing for adulthood.
Flexibility and the ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders are essential.
