We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Service Manager to work with a forward-thinking MSP based in Somerset. The IT Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring the company’s services are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs. The role involves leading IT service delivery and system administration teams, and delivering several IT projects within a multi-divisional business.
Role responsibilities:
* Collaborate with managers and partners to meet business priorities, conduct service reviews, and implement improvements.
* Manage and maintain service support for project requirements related to partner-specific services.
* Oversee infrastructure and applications, ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Work proactively with suppliers to address service gaps and ensure effective delivery.
* Maintain Service Level Agreements aligned with business priorities.
* Identify opportunities for service improvements and collaborate on their implementation.
* Understand IT cost drivers and recommend cost-effective services.
* Act as the primary contact for IT service issue escalation between the business and partners.
* Monitor risks related to operational application services, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Define and monitor system performance metrics, including oversight of third-party support contracts.
* Manage planned changes to minimize impact on business operations.
* Ensure smooth transition of IT services from delivery to operations.
* Allocate resources efficiently within the project portfolio.
* Manage stakeholder communications.
Skills, experience, and qualifications required:
* Strong background in System Administration support.
* Proven experience in delivering service improvements and managing IT service delivery, including financial management.
* Highly service-oriented, with strong partnership-building skills.
* Experience managing and developing partnerships with external service providers.
* Skilled in SLA development and management.
* Experience developing services to meet evolving business needs.
* Practical knowledge of Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar tools supporting agile methodologies.
* Leadership skills to guide project teams.
* Analytical skills for decision-making.
* Negotiation and influencing abilities.
* Proficiency in reporting and presenting information.
* Ability to work with diverse stakeholders internally and externally.
* Proactive in sharing knowledge and expertise.
