Summary
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with experience working ideally in the automotive industry to join our dynamic team at Linecross Composites. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the highest quality standards across our manufacturing processes. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for excellence while supporting our diverse client base.
Circa £35K per annum remuneration package dependent upon skills and experience. Paid monthly on last Friday of the month. 37.5 hour week (start & finish times to be discussed with interviewed candidates).
Responsibilities
* Support with general quality tasks and day-to-day problem solving on the shop floor.
* Help complete and maintain PPAP documentation working with the NPI team to ensure smooth transition to the shopfloor.
* Support with external and internal customer concerns using 8D reports.
* Support the management of key quality activities protocols to ensure compliance with automotive industry standards IATF16949 & ISO9001
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Assist in tracking and reporting quality KPIs e.g. scrap, PPM, returns etc.
* Help write and update SOPs and WIs.
* Support internal and external audits.
* Raise supplier non-conformance reports and follow up with suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues.
* Develop and maintain customer relationships with flexibility to travel at short notice to support customer requirements.
* Support CI activities.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quality Engineer preferably in the Automotive industry.
* Proactive and hands on attitude with demonstrable people skills.
* Experience of IATF 16949 or equivalent industry standards.
* Working understanding and familiarity with Audits, PPAPs, APQPs, 8D and quality KPIs.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data sets.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and engagement across teams.
* Self-motivated, organised and open to learn.
* Full current and valid UK driving licence.
