Senior Associate / Legal Director / Partner - Succession & Tax

The Role
A highly regarded, regional law firm that is well ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers for its Private Client expertise is looking to appoint a Senior Associate, Legal Director or Partner to join its respected Succession & Tax team. The firm is known for its strong sector focus, high quality work, and supportive, people‑centred culture.
This is a senior opportunity to lead a busy team, shape client relationships, and play a key role in business development across the region. You'll manage a varied and stimulating caseload, including:
Advising high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals on tax and estate planning
Working closely with farmers, landowners and business owners on succession planning
Handling complex probate and estate administration matters
Advising on the creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts
Supporting clients with Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
You will be primarily based in Bath, with the chance to collaborate closely with colleagues across other offices.
Candidate Requirements
We're looking for someone who combines technical excellence with strong leadership and relationship building skills. You'll be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX lawyer with higher rights and bring the following:
Significant experience in tax and estate planning for HNW and UHNW clients
Expertise in complex probate and estate administration
Strong knowledge of trusts, including creation, restructuring and winding up
Experience advising on LPAs, EPAs and Court of Protection matters
Succession planning experience for farmers and business owners (highly desirable)
Confidence supervising and developing junior team members
A proactive approach to business development and referral generation
Excellent client care skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
STEP membership or progression towards it
