Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the Tissue Viability team. This role is suitable for a registered nurse with a passion for tissue viability and improving clinical outcomes for patients. You should have experience in wound care, either in a hospital or community setting, and be prepared to work across acute and community settings with support to develop familiarity where needed.
You will develop effective working relationships across a wide range of health care professional groups and will be supported by the Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialists and the wider adult community nursing service to implement evidence-based practice and high-quality care for residents of City and Hackney and inpatients within the Homerton Hospital.

Main duties
The post holder will practice within a specialist nursing team and provide direct, highly skilled, individualized patient care based on best practice in tissue viability. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality holistic care in both Acute Trust and Community settings, including clinics and patients’ homes. They will support other services and external partners with expert advice and support in best practice for managing complex wounds.

Essential
* Education/Qualifications: 1st Level Registered Nurse; Leg Ulcer training; CPD in wound care
* Experience: competent with Microsoft Office/IT; experience in managing leg ulcers (e.g., district nurse/leg ulcer clinic); at least 18 months’ experience as a registered nurse (hospital or community); experience in wound care; experience in delivering teaching; experience using advanced wound management therapies (e.g., topical negative pressure); experience implementing projects/changes in practice to improve quality of care
Desirable
* Post-registration qualification in tissue viability/leg ulcer
* Worked/working as a tissue viability nurse; tissue viability link nurse; leg ulcer clinic experience; running a leg ulcer clinic/service; prescribing qualification
