Based within Wishaw Locality Support Services you will offer a service that is personalised, stimulating and flexible, providing a range of opportunities for people with disabilities and long term health conditions, regardless of levels of need.
The service you provide will be informed by each individual's personal outcome plan, constructed with the fullest possible participation of the person concerned, their carer(s), and the people who are important figures in their life. The success of the service will be measured in terms of defined quality of life outcomes.
You will assume management responsibility for the service budget and all other resources and you will also lead, motivate and supervise staff according to the policies and procedures of the service.
You will ensure best value in all day opportunity services by assuming a lead role in developing service specifications, monitoring performance, reporting on outcomes, ensuring service development plans are in place and producing reports.
A Diploma in Social Work or SVQ4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent together with a willingness to undertake the Registered Managers qualification if not already completed is essential.
Significant experience of working in the delivery of services which support adults with a disability to live full and active lives in the community and experience of working with partner organisations is essential as is experience of managing staff and budgets.
Detailed knowledge of person centred approaches and experience of assessing and managing risk in inclusive settings is desirable.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role and you must be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Work pattern:
Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm
Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm
