Role Overview

As Ecommerce Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the performance and presentation of our website and products, and will be a key link between our incredible product design and marketing teams. You’ll take ownership of visual merchandising and product management, ensuring our categories and collections are curated with precision and flair, with the right products shown to site visitors at the right time. From uploading new products with SEO‑optimised content to crafting compelling homepage and category narratives, you’ll collaborate closely with design and marketing to deliver a seamless, on‑brand experience and user journey. This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity, data, and e‑commerce strategy.

You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining GA4 and Looker Studio dashboards to monitor key e‑commerce metrics, delivering insights that inform strategy and improve customer engagement, conversion rates, and overall site performance. Your analytical mindset will be matched by a commercial instinct, helping to translate data into meaningful actions that elevate the customer journey.

Responsibilities

Product Management

* Take ownership of our products on‑site. Upload and manage new product listings with accurate descriptions, imagery, and meta data, regularly reviewing the content and process to ensure it reflects best practices.
* Become a product expert. Endeavour to learn everything there is to know about our products, understand the various ranges and update related products accordingly.
* Optimise product pages for SEO and user experience.

Content Creation

* Develop on‑site content for homepage, product pages, category pages, and curated collections, as well as writing blog posts.
* Work with marketing and design teams to align messaging across channels; ensuring that one of our core brand USPs – that all our designs are created by real people from our home in Liverpool – is reflected across our website.
* Work with the Brand Marketing Manager in order that our brand guidelines and tone of voice are adhered to across all website content.
* Make our homepage come alive with regular content and banner updates, highlighting new and relevant collections and trends.
* Ensure category pages are merchandised regularly and the right products are being shown, in the right order, to the right customers and at the right time.
* Collaborate with the design team to create shoppable landing pages for seasonal campaigns and collections that are visually compelling and on‑brand.
* Work closely with our Social Media & Influencer Marketing Executive to ensure UGC is used effectively on‑site.
* Lead efforts to merchandise site search so that the most appropriate products are being shown to customers.
* Make sure that banners and collections are regularly updated in our new site navigation.

Analytics & Reporting

* Build and maintain GA4 reports and Looker Studio dashboards to track e‑commerce performance. Highlight issues and make recommendations or take action to address them.
* Provide actionable insights to improve customer engagement, conversion rate and other target KPIs; always looking for blockers to purchases and how to remove them.
* Use data to inform and guide the product design team in creating new wallpaper designs.

What we’re looking for

At Hovia, we’re guided by four core values: Be Authentic, Make an Impact, Enrich People, and Raise the Bar. These values shape how we work together and how we show up for our customers. For this role, we’re looking for a genuine team player – someone positive, proactive, curious, and enthusiastic about growing our online presence.

Experience & Expertise

* 3+ years’ experience in an e‑commerce executive or similar role.
* Strong e‑commerce knowledge, ideally working with large product catalogues in home, lifestyle, or design‑led sectors.
* Solid understanding of SEO principles and how to optimise product, category, and content pages.
* Hands‑on experience with GA4 and ideally Looker Studio, including building reports and dashboards.

Skills

* Ability to create engaging content for product pages, collections, and blog posts.
* Good eye for visual merchandising and structuring categories to maximise engagement and sales.
* Strong understanding of customer journeys and the ability to identify friction points or opportunities.
* Data‑driven approach with the ability to interpret performance issues and make informed recommendations.
* Strong commercial awareness, able to understand KPIs like conversion rate, AOV, and customer engagement.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Collaborative and comfortable working with different teams to maintain consistent brand messaging.
* Confident using your initiative to improve processes and website performance, seeking technical support when needed but always moving projects forward.
* Curious, enthusiastic, and motivated to make a meaningful impact at Hovia.

If you’re excited about the role but don’t meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply – we value potential and the right mindset.
