Job Description
The role sits within the Tax team and focuses on the tax transformation agenda including process improvement and automation across Direct tax, Indirect tax, Customs and Employment taxes. It covers the design and improvement of our tax processes and tax control framework including the implementation of automation strategies to ensure compliance and minimise time spent on manual processes.
It will report to the Head of Tax Transformation and support as required on business growth initiatives and data requirements for tax audits. The Tax Transformation team works closely with Finance, Technology and Governance teams as well as outside advisors to ensure appropriate management and controls.
The Details
1. Work with Head of Tax Transformation to drive continuous process and control improvements. Deliver effective and efficient solutions. Design effective controls. Standardise and document processes.
2. Work with the business to understand and support business initiatives and associated change impacts, from requirements through to successful implementation to ensure compliance and appropriate tax data delivery.
3. Support in delivery of solutions to meet reporting obligations and empower staff to make better business decisions. Ensure disciplined approach to change management, with regular communication to key stakeholders and knowledge transfer
4. Support tax audit data requests
5. Drive engagement and development across the tax function of how to enact process, data, system and people change to improve tax processes
6. Managing process for country by country reporting (cbcr)
7. Stay closely linked to external best practice in areas such as automation and data solutions.
8. preparation of tax control framework documentation, ensuring ongoing and effective controls design and testing

Qualifications
About You
10. A tax accounting qualification (preferably ATT, ACCA or ACA)
11. Experience delivering on tax transformation and process improvement initiatives
12. Experience of working closely with Tech delivery teams as well as Tax / Finance / relevant business stakeholders
13. Functional knowledge and experience across both direct and indirect taxes, particularly in compliance
14. Financial process understanding and experience at an operational level in tax dept
15. A proven ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
16. A high standard of accuracy with financial data
17. An ability to find solutions and to take initiative
18. Commercial awareness
19. Self-motivated, proactive, enthusiastic and results-focus
20. Experience of Alteryx, SQL and PowerPlatform Tools would be an advantage
21. Good communication/interpersonal and influencing skills
22. Flexible, adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity a can-do attitude
