Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the daily operations of the metal shop, ensuring production schedules are met.
Coordinate and allocate resources to optimise workflow and efficiency.
Monitor quality control processes and address any issues promptly.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
Train, mentor, and support team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with other departments to meet overall organisational goals.
Maintain accurate records of production and operational activities.
Identify and implement process improvements for increased productivity.Profile
A successful Metal Shop Supervisor should have:
Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a metal fabrication or fit-out environment.
Strong understanding of MIG/TIG welding, fabrication, and finishing of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and fabrication details.
Familiarity with architectural and decorative metalwork for retail and commercial interiors.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs at once.
Good working knowledge of workshop machinery, tools, and maintenance.
Understanding of H&S legislation and safe workshop practices. Job Offer
