Role Purpose
As a Process Operative you will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently operating our clients plant to manufacture high-quality products. You will be trained to operate various machinery while ensuring that quality standards are met. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team and develop your skills.
Duties
* Safely operate presses, dryers, and drums.
* Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards are maintained.
* Complete accurate batch manufacturing records.
* Wash and decant slurries while handling chemicals safely.
* Weigh out ingredients per formulation sheets for customer orders.
* Operate blending and milling equipment for uniform mixing.
* Efficiently manage packing stations to present finished products.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the plant, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
What You Bring
* Strong attention to detail and conscientiousness regarding health and safety.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
* A reasonable level of fitness for manual handling tasks.
* Functional skills level 2 in Maths and English.
* Experience in a relevant process industry (chemical, ceramics, food) is a plus.
Qualifications
* Counterbalance FLT certificate is advantageous, but training can be provided.
* Previous training in health and safety is a bonus.
Remuneration
Starting salary: £29,000 per annum (inclusive of shift pay)
Salary when fully trained: £33,500 per annum (inclusive of shift pay)
Company Pension: Yes, with employer contributions ranging from 4% to 8%
