Compensation & Benefits
Salary: £46,813.50 with the opportunity to increase salary by £2,000 in 12 months: £1,000 after 6 months (following training and approval), and an additional £1,000 at 12 months.

Daily Responsibilities
* Carry out functional assessments with claimants face to face, via video & telephone to assess their ability to undertake activities of daily living.
* Through the assessment process you’ll ask focused questions and use active listening and critical reasoning skills to gather accurate information.
* Produce high quality, structured clinical reports on all claimants you assess, for submission to the DWP.
* Review evidence, request and evaluate additional evidence when required, and clinically triage cases to determine the correct assessment pathway.
* Work alongside other highly experienced clinical colleagues to ensure high‑quality & fair assessments for all claimants.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for NMC‑registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC‑registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics.
With excellent communication & critical‑thinking skills, the ability to type and confidence using computers.
Skills & Competencies
* Open to a formalised programme of training to become a DWP approved Functional Assessor.
* Receptive to ongoing constructive feedback, ensuring claimants continually get the best experience.
* Confidence in using computers and in learning different software packages to complete detailed, high‑quality reports for all claimants assessed.
* Thrives in a working environment that offers structure and the opportunity to use your clinical skills in a different way.
Not a Good Fit If
* You are not comfortable or are unfamiliar with technology.
* You dislike writing detailed reports.
* You prefer a more hands‑on approach to clinical care.
* You’re not looking for a new direction in your clinical career or to embark on a period of retraining into a new role.
* You don’t enjoy working in an environment with targets.
* You are not looking for a role that requires you to work on site for 3 days a week.
