Autism Support Teaching Assistant
Location: York area
Pay Rate: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Part Time and Full Time available
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are recruiting an experienced Autism Support Teaching Assistant for a specialist setting in the York area.
About the School
The school supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and associated needs. Staff use structured approaches, visual supports and consistent routines to ensure pupils feel secure and able to thrive.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support for pupils with autism
* Use visual timetables and structured approaches
* Support communication and social interaction
* Adapt tasks to meet sensory and learning needs
* Promote independence and confidence
Requirements
* Experience supporting pupils with autism
* Understanding of structured support strategies
* Patient and consistent approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
