About the Role
As a Global Logistics Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our client's Total Transportation Management (TTM) service. This dynamic role involves supporting internal and external client enquiries, managing quote requests, and designing transportation solutions for both domestic and international shipments. You'll also be instrumental in negotiating courier pricing and submitting spot quotes.
You'll support the team by creating distribution orders, reviewing and approving import/export documentation, and proactively tracking orders. Your strong understanding of domestic and international transportation will be key in providing exceptional proposals and solutions to client enquiries.
This role requires diligent use of in-house systems and adherence to quality standards and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Apply Good Distribution Practice in all areas.
Maintain a database of information related to QA/GTC approval, import/export documentation, and client invoicing.
Take the lead on Patheon Manufacturing API logistics, including Import VAT reclaim and FBS transport services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, Project Managers, Global Relationship Directors, Commercial/Sales, Finance, and other key stakeholders.
Support all aspects of TTM, including general enquiries, contracts, pricing, QA queries, quotes, and invoicing. This will involve direct client interaction to gather shipment information and necessary documents.
Manage day-to-day queries and compile monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year key performance metrics.
Actively participate in team meetings, conference calls, and operational meetings.
Contribute to cross-functional business process improvement activities.
What You'll Bring
Strong experience in Global Logistics within the pharmaceutical industry
Proven supplier management and client-facing skills.
Proficiency in global logistics processes, including order fulfilment, distribution, customs, and handling of ambient, cold, and frozen products.
Knowledge of logistics regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals and biological (import, export, Customs clearance, duty, and general GMP).
Experience with invoicing and vendor negotiation.
Excellent verbal and written communication, information presentation, and query response skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Project management skills.
Proficiency in personal computer applications.
Previous experience as a logistic coordinator within logistics for a global company.
Experience with domestic and global transportation (Import/export) and related regulatory compliance laws (NA, LATAM, APAC, EMEA).
Familiarity with distribution track and trace.
Process analysis skills for data collection and proposing pricing.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritise workload and meet tight timescales.
A strong ability to analyse problems, define solutions, and work independently under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
The ability to understand client requirements and articulate appropriate solutions.
