You will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders, translating requirements into effective system designs. The ability to work across all lifecycle stages—from inception, design, and build to operations, support, and decommissioning—is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and maintain systems in alignment with CM, CfD and RAB regulatory frameworks.
* Drive continuous improvements across functional and non-functional design aspects.
* Review system design artefacts and vendor proposals to ensure adherence to design principles.
* Provide expert insight into the implementation of scheme rules in EMRS systems.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and regulators to ensure accurate interpretation of policy into system capabilities.
* Use modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or equivalent UML tools.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* In-depth knowledge of EMRS, and an understanding of CM, CfD, and RAB schemes.
* Practical experience in systems design, including the application of TOGAF principles.
* Experience with BCS Systems Design techniques diploma or BCS Practitioner Certificate in Enterprise and Solution Architecture or equivalent.
* Excellent stakeholder and team collaboration skills.
* Proficiency in design patterns and industry-standard system analysis best practices.
* Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Experience with project management tools such as Jira and DevOps pipelines.
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks while meeting tight timelines.
* Previous experience in technical or system development roles supporting large-scale regulatory IT systems.
* Understanding of BSC (Balancing and Settlement Code) arrangements and their interface with EMRS.
* Experience with Microsoft Azure and associated cloud technologies.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work in a technically challenging and impactful environment. If you have a strong background in system design, regulatory compliance, and architecture frameworks, we’d love to hear from you.
